The Best Play Collars For Pet Play In BDSM

Collars in BDSM has a different meaning to each person; they generally signify ownership, whether it’s a dominant and submissive or slave relationship, etc. They have completed their training and are ready for the next level of the relationship.

Similar to an engagement ring, a collar means devotion and commitment to your DOM/Master/ Daddy. But for some especially uncollared pet players, collars are part of the gear and changes to whichever spirit animals they are role-playing.

These collars are called Play collars; and are worn as part of the scene, they have little to no meaning behind them. Play collars are usually dog collars, leather collars, or ribbon collars. Furthermore, you can buy a collar at your local vendor’s at dungeons, but for this post I’ll focus on online stores.

Kitten Pet Play Collars-By The Comebuy

Kitten collars are beautifully designed collars that feature lace, ribbons, and bells.

The seller offers a variety of colors and styles that matches every kitten gear. Intimate lover collars are strong enough to attach to a leash, and few collars can withstand toggling since most of them are of poor quality. The material is sturdy (PU Leather) and large enough to fit on any size neck.

The collar interior is soft and doesn’t leave any unwanted marks after use; We recommend this collar because of the material the variety of colors and styles.

Puppy Play Collars

Puppies are very playful pets and choosing a collar often represents this. A collar symbolizes something powerful like “the reunion” between the pair. Not every puppy has an Owner/Master/Sir/Daddy; They are called “strays” in the pet play community.

A common choice for a pup to Daddy/handler relationship is the pup chain with a personalized tag featured on them. However, I don’t want to go in-depth with collaring (I would leave this for another post). Puppy play is prevalent amongst the pet play community and choosing the perfect collar for your pup has a lot of meaning behind it.

If I haven’t made it clear already, this post focuses on play collars, and again they have no specific meaning behind them. There are a variety of pup play collars to choose from, here are a few of my favorites.

Types Of Pup Pet Play Collars

Punk Rock Dog Collars– I would not recommend this especially for beginners, it’s an excellent accessory but not that great for pup play.

Because if your Handler wants to grab you by your collar, they can get hurt with the spikes. Similarly, they are flimsy and doesn’t feature real leather.

Steel Chain Dog Training collars– These chain collars are easy to tighten but hard to loosen. Simple movements like walking, especially with a leash attached to them, will tighten and cause severe damage to your pup.

Shock Collars For Pet Play– Used for training your pup but not suitable for beginners. Owners can touch the shock button by mistake and accidentally shock you. It’s a risky collar; however, if your Owner is using the vibrating setting, it’s okay.

Nylon Collars– They are super soft and comfortable, they are effortless to find, and you can get them at your local supermarket or pet stores. They have solid D-rings for leashes and great for pet play-dates.

Bondage Collars

Pets often wear bondage collars during a short scene and are the perfect play collar. They are common in the BDSM/Pet play community, and the best kinds are made from leather with D-rings to attach to a leash.

You can always buy bondage collars from Etsy, but Lovehoney.com has beautiful leather collars that pets can wear during training sessions.

Bondage Boutique– This is a very sturdy and soft collar. It is not harsh on the skin, and your pet can wear this as a day collar. The D-ring is large enough for any size leash and has a twelve buckle fasteners that stays in place at all times.

DOMINIX Deluxe– The DOMINIX is the perfect collar for both male and female pets, equipped with a ten buckle closure and has 3 D rings.

Day Collars

Day collars are collars pets use when they are in public with their Masters/Owners/Daddy etc. They can also be a substitute for an ownership collar when worn out and social events. Day collars are subtle and blend with your everyday wear. The collar feature in the picture is the Sex and Mischief they are super comfy and simple.

Master Series Slave Collar– This is a silicone collar that has the word “slave” on it. This collar will put you in the headspace of a slave or pet. The only problem with the Master Series is it sits low on ladies neck but will make the perfect day collar for your male pup.
